Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi born in 2 October 186 9 and raised in a Hindu Bania community in coastal Gujarat. Gandhi led India to independence and inspired movements for non-violence, civil rights and freedom across the world. he trained in law at the Inner Temple in London, Gandhi first employed non-violent civil disobedience as an expatriate lawyer in South Africa in the resident Indian community's struggle for civil rights.
